Roots and Early Education
Dr. Arun Saxena was born on **May 17, 1974**, in **Biaora**, a district adjacent to the capital of the then-divided Madhya Pradesh. He grew up in a respectable middle-class family, with both parents serving as government employees and a younger sister. His early education took place in **Badi, Byawara, and Narsinghgarh**, followed by further studies in **Maqsoodangarh, Guna**. Later, he pursued middle and higher education in **Biaora, Bhopal, and Ujjain**. From a young age, Dr. Arun exhibited a deep passion for social work and education, which would shape his future endeavours.

A Lifelong Commitment to Social Change
Dr. Arun’s dedication to social causes began early in life. He actively participated in Scouts, NCC, and NSS, as well as student organizations. During his undergraduate studies, he placed special emphasis on girls’ education. Through his work with NGOs, he conducted workshops on critical social issues, including girls’ health and sexuality, the challenges faced by sex workers, iodine-enriched salt awareness, water conservation, tribal welfare, and initiatives like Jai Akshar. Many of these initiatives were undertaken in collaboration with district collectors through organized camps. His dedication to social reform also led him to spearhead various innovative projects aimed at uplifting marginalized communities.

Academic Excellence and Teaching Career
Dr. Arun’s academic journey was marked by excellence and a deep understanding of societal dynamics. He pursued postgraduate studies in Sociology, specializing in social psychology and social pathology. From 1998 to 2013, he served as a lecturer in Sociology at various government colleges in Madhya Pradesh. During this time, he presented research papers at several state-level, national, and international conferences, covering topics like sociology, political science, and economics. In 1997-98, he was elected President of the Postgraduate Sociology Council at Government College, Byawara, and in 1998, he became the President of the student union based on academic merit.

Journalism and Social Impact
Dr. Arun Saxena’s passion for reading and writing, instilled in him by his mother, led him to journalism as a means to amplify the voices of marginalized communities. Growing up in an underprivileged region, he witnessed social injustices firsthand, which fueled his determination to use journalism as a tool for advocacy and reform. Since 1992, he has actively engaged in research and scholarly pursuits, combining his academic expertise with journalism to address societal challenges. His lifelong commitment to education, research, and public service has left a profound impact on sociology and journalism, inspiring countless individuals through his innovative projects and advocacy efforts. Today, he continues to work tirelessly, striving to create a more equitable and informed society.
